Shari Coulter Ford has been both a corporate executive and an entrepreneur in her career, with a focus on innovation and commercialization. Previously, she launched and helped in the launch of several startup technology companies, including New York-based Vizibility. Shari has also worked on multiple initiatives for the Kauffman Foundation and Kauffman LABS. From 1999 to 2003, she was President and CEO of New York Technology Accelerators LLC (a Partnership Fund for New York City portfolio company), which was New York City’s first university-based incubator. Prior to the Accelerator, Shari spent 13 years with PR Newswire (PRN), a division of London-based United Business Media (FTSE 100). Shari held several executive and senior management positions at PRN. Her last role was President of PR Newswire International, an aggressive start-up business unit of PRN. She initiated two acquisitions and opened offices in five countries in three years. Shari is a graduate of the Wharton Management program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and has a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
